Dustin Payne

Growing up as a third-generation sculptor in his family, Dustin Payne began learning the trade at an early age.  “I’ve always been drawn to the books and drawings of Will James and early 20th-Century American sculptors, studying the style of Charlie Russell, and becoming inspired and influenced by the great artists of that time.”  Being raised to rope, ride, and work cattle, Dustin respects the strength and character of the old cowboys and ranchers and they create inspiration for him to carry on the spirit and tradition of their way of life.  In 2017, Dustin was inducted into the renowned Cowboy Artists of America and plans to pay tribute to the time-honored organization’s values, moving forward in his career as one of their newest members.  His artwork can be found in fine art galleries across the country, as well as in the permanent collections of the Pearce Museum, the Raymond James Financial Art Collection, the Former Texas Rangers Heritage Center in Fredericksburg, Texas, and the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk in Pueblo, Colorado.
